Maxjet declares bankruptcy and cancels all flights

Maxjet, the airline that offers discount all business class flights, has closed down all of its operations effective today – Christmas Eve. This, after the company declared bankruptcy earlier during the same day.

The airline’s declaration of bankruptcy didn’t come as a surprise, but there’s a more pressing issue. Passengers who booked for their flights are now scrambling to find alternative flights to their destinations. Maxjet has provided some assistance for its passengers, but it comes with a minimal cost.

Airline companies Silverjet Aviation and Continental Airlines said that it will honor a select number of Maxjet tickets but it also comes with a minimal fee. Maxjet is also working with Eos Airlines to help their passengers find alternative routes.

At Maxjet’s website, they have also provided further instructions if you have unfortunately booked a flight with them and an apology.
