Bizarre: Airplane coffin at the Smithsonian

A coffin, an airplane coffin at that, painted in the colors of the Dutch airline with KLM bold prints is (was) on display at the Smithsonian. Weird, but true!

There are many bizarre coffins in the world, but who would want a coffin shaped like an airplane as a final resting place? Perhaps the aviation enthusiast, the Dutch counterpart of Richard Branson or a person who’s all about airline safety?

Apparently, this coffin is from Ghana. But still, it doesn’t make sense.
