Zippypam,

1) Go to the ANA Mileage Club page and log in with your account number and PIN.

2) Click on the “Using Miles” tab at the top of the screen.

3) Scroll down and choose “Request Partner Flight Awards.”

4) Click on the second option, “Use Star Alliance Member Airlines.”

5) On the next screen, run the search. You may need to click the “All airport” link to choose your airport, since the number of airports in the basic pulldown menu is rather short. Note also that there is a warning, “Reservations for Air China[CA], Shanghai Airlines[FM] and Swiss International Air Lines[LX] cannot be made through the internet.” I’m not sure if those airlines are appearing in searches or not.

Note the airline combinations that show availability (Available flights are noted with a circle, not an X.)

You may want to state that it costs only 80,000 miles to go from NA to Europe on an award. That is how you get to math of $1030. Someone may think you need 100,000 based on how it was worded….and think the math was a little off.
