The ever-effervescent Benet Wilson of Aviation Week and Aviation Daily invited me over to her Towers and Tarmacs blog to offer up a guest post while she’s galavanting about on her vacation.

The result: Detention center or amusement park? 3 ways airports can alleviate passenger misery. One suggestion involves beer. Check it out, and tell me if I’m nuts.

Thanks to Benet for letting me sit in!

  1. ML Harris Says:

How about affordable wine/beer? More people drink wine now, anyway. There’s wine in all 48 contiguous states, so I don’t see the problem with offering some nice options to stranded passengers.

Otherwise, well reasoned. Electric! Yes. Pagers! Yes.

Question: Why wouldn’t the vendors in the airport want passengers to have pagers? Might they want it enough to fund it?

I approve with beer or wine (as said by Harris) and power sockets is pretty much great idea.
