I am nominating the blog I manage, the Viator Travel Blog (http://travelblog.viator.com/) in the group-written travel blog category.

Our list of contributors is here. I’ve also created a Best of the Viator Blog archive to highlight some of our most popular posts.

FYI - the Viator blog was also nominated last week as one of the “Best Consumer Travel Blogs” by the UK travel industry site Travolution.

  17. B. Aaron says:

I think you should consider that new Boarding Area blog. I’ve become somewhat addicted to it and while i read you on it Upgrade, hope it doesn’t disqualify it. While it has any number of bloggers on the front page, it does seem like a group-written blog. Great website, here’s the link:

  24. Paul Surniak says:

    I nominate http://blogofdreams.com
It is written by two educators in China who travel and publish positive stories about life in the Middle Kingdom. All the monies from The Dreamblogue goes directly to The Library Project to build libraries in orphanages and rural villages in Asia.

  25. Candida says:

    I nominate:
http://www.offmahnattah.com, an online travel guide New Yorkers and tourists alike, in an effort to promote a “greener” lifestyle.

    http://www.gadling.com

    and

    http://www.vagablogging.net

  26. katherine says:

    I am nominating http://blogofdreams.com

This is a well written blog, informative and very positive blog about China. It is written by American ex-pats teaching at the university level in Guangzhou. Donations to The Dreamblogue are used for charitable projects such as The Library Project, which builds libraries in school and orphanages in rural China.

  27. Des Walsh says:

I am nominating http://blogofdreams.com/ See comments of other nominators - great pictures, which are presented with cultural context, not just as pretty travel pics. And it has cohesion, no doubt because it’s a collaborative group blog by very perceptive people who work together, not just a bunch of posts by different authors.

  28. liz says:

    I nominate

    Perceptive Travel Blog

    Traveling Mamas

    Brave New Traveler

    www.bravenewtraveler.com

    www.gadling.com

  35. Cam says:

    The IgoUgo Travel Blog: www.igougo.com/travel_blog

It’s the only blog in the travel blogosphere that aggregates trends, stories, and recommendations from thousands of real travelers (culled from IgoUgo content) in a compelling, timely, relevant way. Every other travel community blog out there is a copy and paste job, a product blog, or a blog that pokes fun at its community. The writing and the topics are not only great, but the concept is original. It’s the only blog of its kind.

  36. Dee says:

    I nominate The Perrin Post.

  37. Katherine says:

Definitely http://www.lostweekend.tv for this category - the writers are brilliant!
