I was amazed to hear about sensors, being charged for items moved, etc. A vacation is suppose to be relaxing and guest should be treated like guest. It would be virtually impossible for staff to keep track daily of what the guests are consuming. Also Wynn does provide a complimentary fridge upon request. Also the front desk warned me every time I checked in as well as a sign provided right next to the food. For those who do accidentally pick things up the items are simply rebated off the bill and the guest is not charged. Mind you Wynn is a hotel with 2400 rooms.
