the facts.. 1. its a business, they want to make money and they have thier own "internal" security issues to deal with. 2. it is not a free for all, drunk fest as some have stated. 3. pack all booze in your "checked baggage" only, they do not search checked baggage. they will search your carry on and dispose of any found. 4. if you are an adult, act like one.

Have taken many carnival cruise trips, and we just put all the booze we want to take in our checked luggage,my daughter brought on a big bottle of rum, it also was in her checked luggage, and she left it out even during the shore excursions, and it was never touched by the crew on carnival, if really worries, just take two empty water bottles, fill with liquor of your choice, pack into a gallon ziplock bag, just to prevent leaks and once again pack in your checked luggage

I went on a Carnival Cruise three years ago and I am going on another this November. I think a cruise is like taking a vacation on a traveling restaurant, not just a mobile hotel.

It is rare to find a restaurant that won't charge a corkerage fee. The restaurants that don't charge fees are usually the ones that can't sell alcohol because they aren't licensed.

I haven't encountered any unruly people or drunks on my cruise. I did while staying at an all-inclusive resort. But then again, at the all-inclusive, the alcohol was flowing freely.

I own a restaurant and charge a corkage fee, this is not unusual.I am in the buisness to make money and, I believe, so is Carnival. If, you do not like their selections or have a special bottle waiting for a special moment, fork it up, you would of paid a lot more for being served one of their bottles. The cost of having a waiter and dishwasher does not go away because you brought your own wine.

Been on 2 one week cruises with Carnival and some 25 cruises with other cruise lines never saw an unruly or drunk yet, let alone a sick one barffing.

Don't agree with there no bring aboard wine... alcohol. Looks like greed on their part.

NOTE: Greed Floats......above....I did not submit that!

We have an infant we are bringing on the cruise and her pediatrician recommended bottled water for her to drink and for her formula. This amounts to her drinking 3-4 16 oz bottles a day. We are on a 5 day cruise and want to bring a case of water with us but Carnival rep said he believes that is excessive....that we can PURCHASE water on board the ship so we know now why the policy is there. He said we might have it confiscated but I guess we will see in a few weeks.

I've been on 2 Carnival cruise, 5 day and 7 day, and have never seen these so called unruly and rude drunks. The Captain must be hiding them somewhere. And perhaps the vomit was from sea sickness, ya think? And the booze you buy at ports is delivered to your room the last night of the cruise, no lines to stand in (where did THAT come from?). People, research!!
