hellifino, you said, “They are not going to charge extra for the seats.” Maybe not like paying for an upgrade at the airport, but if they’re only letting the big $$ folks have these seats, then de facto they are already charging an “upgrade fee” in those higher fares.

if B6 sets aside just ten of the 66 seats with the 36″ pitch, there is still plenty for everyone else who wants the extra 2″. Remember, the 2 exit rows are 36″ or more and the rest of the ac is 34″. It is a way to appreciate those who pay the higest, last minute fare. They are not going to charge extra for the seats.

I’m sure it wont be long before we get E+ style upgrade requests at check-in…
If Neeleman wants to know why he isn’t getting “some of the public’s highest-paying travelers” it’s because B6 has the absolute worst frequent flyer program in the industry and doesn’t offer elite status…

What a pity, I loved that JetBlue was truely a equal-opportunity-airline. Next thing you know they’ll have all the other nonsense as well..
